Your Jacksonville crew
Our Jacksonville crew is based here and covers one of the largest cities by area in the country, plus the Beaches, Orange Park, St. Augustine, and Nassau County. Distances are long here, so we plan work days around travel and disposal trips, not just the rooms.
Every job starts with a conversation, then a walkthrough with you, then a written plan that says what we’ll do, in what order, and what it costs. On work days we sort with you. Papers, photos, and anything that might matter are set aside for you to see. You decide what stays, what goes, and what waits.

Local knowledge
What’s different about cleanup in Jacksonville
Jacksonville’s size, its property code, and its flood risk all shape how a job here is planned.
The property code covers the inside of a home
Jacksonville’s Property Safety and Maintenance Code applies inside and outside a structure: floors, walls, doors, windows, and smoke alarms. For rentals, the City says the owner is responsible for correcting violations, though citations can go to the owner or the tenant.

Coastal, river, and inland flooding
The City notes that Duval has all three kinds of flooding, mostly from June to November, and that homes outside a mapped floodplain can still flood. Water-damaged contents and building materials need different handling, so tell us if a home has flooded.

Humidity and mold
Florida’s Department of Health advises keeping indoor humidity under 60% and drying wet materials within 24 hours. Mold covering more than about 10 square feet calls for a professional. Closed-up, crowded rooms are where moisture gets trapped.

Apartments use private haulers
The City doesn’t collect from multi-family complexes, which hire commercial haulers. Clearing an apartment means planning disposal with the property manager, not relying on curbside pickup.

Doing some yourself?
Local disposal rules, if you’re clearing some things yourself
If you’re starting on your own, these First Coast rules are worth knowing. Check the linked page before relying on one.
When we do the work, hauling and disposal are part of the plan. You don’t need to arrange any of this.

Questions
Questions from Jacksonville families
Which areas does the Jacksonville crew cover?
Jacksonville and the Beaches, plus Orange Park and Fleming Island in Clay County, Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine in St. Johns County, and Fernandina Beach and Yulee in Nassau County. Not listed? Ask. We’ll tell you plainly whether we can help.
The City sent a code notice. What should we do first?
Read it for the deadline and the specific items listed, and call the number on the notice if you need to ask about time. Then call us with the date. We’ll focus first on what the notice names and on safety basics like exits and smoke alarms, and say honestly what can be done in time.
Can you clear an apartment? The complex says trash pickup won’t take it.
Yes. Apartment complexes in Jacksonville use private haulers, so a cleanout needs its own plan for getting things out. We’ll coordinate timing and access with you, and with the property manager if you’d like us to.
The house flooded at some point. Does that change the cleanup?
It can. Wet or water-damaged paper, fabric, and drywall can hold mold, and Florida’s Department of Health recommends a professional for growth over about 10 square feet. Tell us when you call so the walkthrough looks for it and the plan includes it.
Is there a hoarding task force in Jacksonville?
We couldn’t find one for Duval or Northeast Florida. For an older adult, ElderSource (1-888-242-4464) is a good first call for services. If you’re worried about someone’s safety, the Florida Abuse Hotline takes reports 24/7 at 1-800-962-2873.
